Youth Support Worker positions available. This is shift work with employees working 12 hours. A valid class 5 Saskatchewan drivers license and clear criminal/vulnerable sector check is a must.
Job: To give the highest quality of care to the Youth in our homes as well as up keep to the facility.
Duties and Responsibilities
Caring for Youth aged 12-18 years old.
Intake and exit interviews
Referrals to agencies and community resources
Record all pertinent information regarding child and family needs.
Recording daily events in the log as well as tracking statistical information
Attend all staff meetings and or required workshops and training
Ensure all policies and procedures are followed and adhered to
Plan, participate and supervise structured activities for children
Supervision of youth during all daily activities.
Qualifications: Education training in childhood development preferable; ability to interact with children/youth and their families in a supportive manner; cross-cultural awareness and experience; ability to communicate effectively; household management skills. Previous experience is a definite asset. On the job training in Suicide Asist, CPR First Aid, Trauma Informed Care, Back to Basics and Part Training.
Salary: As per wage grid.
