Job Summary
We are seeking passionate and dedicated French Teachers with experience in TCF preparation to join our teaching team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in teaching French language and culture to students of different ages and proficiency levels.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging French lessons, supporting students in their TCF preparation, monitoring their learning progress, and creating a positive and inclusive learning environmen
Key Responsibilities
1. Teaching & Lesson Planning
- Develop and deliver engaging French lessons that align with the curriculum and students’ learning objectives.
- Provide instruction in French language, grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and communication skills.
- Prepare and organize effective lesson plans, teaching materials, and classroom activities.
- Adapt teaching methods and lesson content to accommodate different student levels, learning styles, and needs.
- Incorporate practical language activities to help students develop their overall French proficiency.
2. TCF Preparation
- Prepare students for the TCF test through structured lessons, targeted practice, and test-related activities.
- Familiarize students with relevant TCF test formats, question types, and assessment requirements.
- Provide guidance on language skills and test-taking strategies to help students improve their performance.
- Identify students’ areas of weakness and provide targeted instruction and additional practice.
- Monitor students’ TCF preparation progress and provide individualized feedback and recommendations.
3. Student Engagement & Assessment
- Create a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment that encourages student participation and continuous improvement.
- Engage students through interactive classroom activities, discussions, exercises, and other learning methods.
- Assess students’ language proficiency and learning progress through assignments, classroom activities, and other evaluation methods.
- Provide timely and constructive feedback on students’ French language skills and overall performance.
- Support students in setting and achieving their individual language-learning goals.
4. Online Teaching & Program Collaboration
- Deliver effective lessons using Zoom and online learning platforms.
- Maintain organized lesson materials, student records, and assessment results.
- Use digital tools and resources to enhance students’ learning experience.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues regarding student progress, course requirements, and teaching-related matters.
- Collaborate with colleagues to improve teaching materials, lesson plans, and the overall French language program.
Qualifications & Skills
- Excellent proficiency in French,
with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Minimum 1 year of experience teaching or preparing students for the TCF test is required.
- Previous experience teaching or tutoring French to students is an asset.
- Strong understanding of French language instruction, including grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and communication skills.
- Knowledge of the TCF test structure, requirements, and preparation strategies.
- Ability to effectively educate, engage, and motivate students in both classroom and online learning environments.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage lesson planning and student assessment effectively.
- Comfortable using Zoom and online teaching platforms.
- A Bachelor’s degree in French, Education, Linguistics, or a related field is preferred.
