Serve as an expert advisor to designers, drafters, project engineers, and structural analysts
- Support designers in selecting cast materials and aerospace-grade materials
- Guide designers in selecting coatings based on engine function and operating environment, including erosion and corrosion considerations
- Provide guidance on repair schemes and quality non-conformances
- Research and respond to questions related to material properties
- Design tests and manage logistics to characterize material properties
- Review and approve drawings
- Travel globally to suppliers for process reviews, Process Walks, and technical support
- Prepare technical memos and specifications
- Manage data and statistical analysis capabilities
- Apply knowledge of aerospace certification requirements
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Materials Engineering or Metallurgical Engineering, with 10 years of experience (versatile) in a field related to aerospace forging
- Strong technical writing skills
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities
- Strong customer service orientation
- Adaptable, self-directed, and rigorous approach; willingness to learn and share knowledge
- Very good command of English to read and understand documentation and technical terminology on a daily basis,
and to write and communicate in English with international customers, suppliers, or colleagues
- Successful completion of a criminal background check
- Ability to obtain the necessary authorizations to handle and transfer controlled goods
