efficiency and effectiveness of business processes.Work on projects and conduct special investigations as required.Develop and maintain productive relationships with Empire Life employees/management.Attend and participate in continuing professional education classes and training courses.Ensures compliance with the Global Internal Audit Standards of the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA).What we’re looking for you to haveCompletion of college/university with specialization in audit, financial and managerial accounting or a combination of education and work experience.0–3+ years work experience in auditing or a related field.Knowledge of Microsoft Suite applications, and basic coding.Knowledge of internal control techniques and internal audit procedures.Knowledge of contract interpretation.CPA and/or CIA designation or in progress.Strong verbal and written communications skills, and ability to present information clearly to a diverse audience.Ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.Language proficiency in English is required for communicating with customers, advisors, or employees across Canada unless otherwise indicated.Beyond the salaryCompetitive salaries with annual pay increases.Annual bonus program, which recognizes both strong company performance and individual contributions, for non‑sales positions.A comprehensive employer‑funded benefits package starting from day one of employment, that includes life insurance, disability, health and dental and a generous health
