At CHEO, this role requires participation in the care and programming for children admitted to the Acute Mental Health department. Candidates must have experience working with complex behaviours and developmental disabilities, aiding children in achieving their goals through structured support.
Key Responsibilities: • Assist in development and execution of programming activities • Provide necessary physical care, ensuring safety and comfort • Uphold program boundaries and rules with clients • Support positive behavioural management strategies • Communicate effectively with team members and families
Requirements: • Two-year Diploma in Developmental Services or related field • A minimum of 1 year working with children with complex needs • Current Nonviolent Crisis Intervention Certification • Standard First Aid and CPR-C certifications • Proven ability to work with multidisciplinary teams
