Could it be you?About the roleAs aConsultant – Data Analytics, you will make an impact by supporting strategic Finance and Risk transformation initiatives for a leading Canadian banking client. You will be a valued member of the Banking & Financial Services team and work collaboratively with Finance, Risk, Compliance, Operations, and Technology stakeholders to translate business requirements into actionable insights, reporting solutions, and data-driven decision-making capabilities.In this role, you will:Act as a Business Systems Analyst on the Finance & Risk Platform (FRP) program, gathering, analyzing, and documenting requirements from Finance, Risk, Compliance, and Operations stakeholdersConduct current-state assessments of reporting and data processes, define target-state KPIs and success measures, and identify opportunities for process optimization and automationSupport OFSAA analytics and Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC) migration initiatives, including data validation, reconciliation, and analysis of finance and risk metricsBuild and maintain executive-level dashboards, reports, and analytical solutions using Power BI, Tableau, and Sigma ComputingDrive the end-to-end project lifecycle including requirements gathering, testing, UAT coordination, go-live support, post-implementation measurement, and data governance activitiesWork model – OnsiteAt Cognizant, we strive to provide flexibility wherever possible,

Rest assured; we will always beclearabout role expectations.What you must have to be considered1–3 years of experience in Business Analysis, Data Analysis, or Business Systems Analysis within Banking, Financial Services, or related industriesExperience gathering and documenting business, functional, and reporting requirements from business stakeholdersHands-on experience with SQL and at least one business intelligence platform such asPower BI, Tableau, or Sigma ComputingExperience performing data analysis, validation, reconciliation, and reporting activitiesFamiliarity with Finance, Risk, Regulatory Reporting, or Compliance data domainsExperience working with cloud-based data platforms such asSnowflakeandDatabricksStrong written communication skills with experience creating SOPs, process documentation, operating models, or business artifactsExperience supporting UAT planning, test execution, defect tracking, and business validation activitiesStrong analytical, problem-solving,



and stakeholder management skillsExperience working within Agile delivery environmentsThese will help you succeedExperience withOracle Financial Services Analytical Applications (OFSAA)andOracle Analytics Cloud (OAC)Snowflake certificationExperience developing executive dashboards and performance reporting solutionsProficiency in Python for data analysis and automation use casesExperience authoring Target Operating Model (TOM) documentation and operational proceduresKnowledge of Finance and Risk reporting concepts within Banking and Financial ServicesExperience supporting data governance, data quality, and regulatory reporting initiativesFamiliarity with AI-enabled analytics capabilities, including Copilot-style insights, analytics agents, and Snowflake CortexAbility to identify and implement workflow automation opportunities that reduce manual effort and improve reporting efficiencyWe're excited to meet people who share our mission and can make an impact in a variety of ways. The base salary for this position ranges between $70,000 - $80,000 per year. Where the successful candidate may fall within the range depends on relevant education, work and/or management experience and other business-related and job-necessary qualifications.
