Become a Registered Practical Nurse specializing in Mental Health Services with Brightshores in Owen Sound. This part time role offers a unique opportunity to apply Recovery Principles in your daily practice.

As an RPN, you will work under the guidance of the Crisis Mental Health Services Manager, primarily addressing the needs of clients with mental health and addiction issues. Your responsibilities will include conducting assessments, providing education, and supporting clients in a therapeutic environment. The role may involve travel across Grey and Bruce counties and supporting other teams as needed.

Key Responsibilities:



• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric and psychosocial assessments • Support clients through brief solution-focused therapy • Work collaboratively with multiple services and teams • Plan and conduct therapeutic groups for inpatients • Promote a culture of safety and adherence to health policies

Requirements: • Valid registration with Ontario College of Nurses • Psychiatric Nursing certificate from a recognized college • Relevant psychiatric nursing experience (last 3 years) • Understanding of the Mental Health Act and community resources • CPI certification and experience with medication delivery
