As a Demi 1 Cook at Concord Hospitality, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality dining experiences for our guests. Your culinary skills, attention to detail, and commitment to safety will ensure that meals are prepared consistently and with care, while supporting the overall success of the kitchen team. Responsibilities Serves food in proper portions onto proper receptacles; Operatesovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers to prepare foods; Confers with supervisor to review achievements and discuss needed changes in goals or objectives; Preparesproper plate and platter presentations; Maintains an adequate inventory of cooking ingredients and supplies; Assists in developing and implementing new menus; Inspectstoolsand equipment before and after use; makes sure they are clean and in proper working order; Ensures and the kitchen is ready for preparation of the next meal; Assists with placing food on the steam and cold tables, as needed; ensures food rotation and proper timing of foods; Works collaboratively with team members to ensure a smooth running operation; Preparescustomized food to order, such as Caesar salads or handpicked items to be sautéed for pastas, crepes, and breakfast omelette's; Assists with set-up and break down of work and action stations, as needed; Preparesingredients, including washing, peeling, portioning, chopping, and storing food; Assists guestswith courtesy, promptness, and friendliness; Verifiesfood is satisfactorily cooked in both quality and quantity prepared. Requirements Ability to multitask effectively; Knowledge of menu development, costs,



and wage control; Skilled in operating various pieces of commercial kitchen equipment; Ability to effectively use senses such as sight, hearing, and smell to distinguish product, taste, texture, and presentation; Must be able to obtain, maintain, and retain a valid gaming license; Ability to read, write, and fills out any necessary paperwork; Ability to useall food preparation equipment; Knowledge of food products, standard recipes, and proper preparation; Positive organizational, planning, and time management skills Ability to lift up to fifty (50) pounds, with or without a reasonable accommodation; Culinarydegree or certificate; Ability to read and follow established recipes; Cooking experience in a gaming/hotel environment comparable to the EED; Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
