Position OverviewAs a lecturer in Laboratory Techniques (Biotechnology), you will transmit knowledge to students, design course content, and evaluate learning.SkillsCell biology, genetics and microbiologyGeneral, organic and analytical chemistryBiochemistry and molecular biologyInstrumental analysis techniques and quality controlCell cultures, bioprocesses and fermentationGood Laboratory Practices (GLP), Positive Manufacturing Practices (GMP), WHMIS and BiosafetyMathematical and statistical tools applied to biotechnologiesStatus: Contract - Laboratory Techniques (Biotechnology) Programme - 210.AA.Location: LaSalle College - Montreal Campus and/or Laval Campus.ResponsibilitiesPlan class sessionsDeliver courses in a dynamic, efficient and structured mannerDesign formative and summative assessments according to the competency-based approachCorrect evaluations and provide feedback to studentsOffer personalized follow-up and promote academic successBe available to meet the educational needs of studentsParticipate in the continuous improvement of the program and departmental activitiesRequirementsHold a bachelor's or master's degree in biotechnology, biochemistry, microbiology, biology, chemistry or related fieldTwo (2)
years of relevant experience in the laboratory or in the biotechnology sectorMastery of instrumental analysis, cell culture, bioprocess and fermentation techniquesKnowledge of GLP, GMP, WHMIS and BiosafetyHave taught a full course in the last five (5) years (asset)Proficiency in all Microsoft Office programs and applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams, etc.) as well as generative artificial intelligence (AGI) toolsFluency in the French language (oral and written)Proficiency in the English language at a professional level (oral and written)This role involves frequent interactions with internal and external customers and partners on a national and global scale.
