Team Lead – Receiving Inspection

We are seeking an experienced CMM / Receiving Inspection Inspector with a solid background in dimensional inspection and incoming material verification. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of hands‑on experience operating Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) and performing receiving inspection activities, along with proficiency in PC‑DMIS and PolyWorks.

This role is critical in ensuring all incoming materials and manufactured components meet engineering and quality requirements.

Responsibilities





Perform receiving inspection of incoming materials, components, and parts

Conduct dimensional inspections using CMM equipment on complex components

Develop, modify, and execute inspection programs using PC‑DMIS and/or PolyWorks

Review First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR) submitted by suppliers using Net‑Inspect

Review and verify supplier documentation and certifications

Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T; requirements

Perform first article, in-process, and final inspections as required

Identify and document non-conforming materials and support disposition activities

Analyze inspection data and trends to identify quality issues and improvements

Prepare clear, detailed inspection reports and technical documentation

Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for quality issues

Ensure inspection tools and CMM equipment are calibrated and maintained

Work closely with suppliers, engineering, and internal quality teams

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of experience in CMM inspection and/or receiving inspection

Solid understanding of GD&T; (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)

Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings

Knowledge of incoming inspection processes and supplier quality requirements

Strong problem-solving skills and exceptional attention to detail

Proficiency in data analysis and technical report writing

Good communication skills and ability to work independently

Current work authorization for Canada is required for all openings.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in manufacturing environments (aerospace, or precision machining)

Familiarity with ISO 9001 or AS9100 quality systems





Certification in metrology or quality inspection (ASQ or equivalent)

Experience with ERP systems for inspection documentation

Experience using Net‑Inspect or similar FAIR management systems

Experience

Strong experience using PC‑DMIS and PolyWorks (programming and operation)

Experience with standard inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, etc.)

Education

Associate’s degree in Manufacturing Technology or a related field (preferred)

Specialized CMM certification (preferred)
