We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Accounting & Payroll Manager to join our team.Position SummaryReporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Accounting & Payroll Manager is responsible for overseeing daily accounting operations and full-cycle payroll administration. This role ensures accurate financial reporting, timely payroll processing, and compliance with all applicable federal and provincial regulations. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and able to thrive in a fast-paced dealership workplace.Key ResponsibilitiesAccountingReconciling daily cash and bankingComplete Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functionsPrepare and file GST and PST returnsPerform full-cycle accounting for associated companiesAssist with month-end and year-end closing processesSupport financial reporting and maintain effective internal controlsPayrollManage end-to-end payroll processing (semi-monthly and monthly)Ensure accurate computation of wages, overtime, commissions, bonuses, and deductionsPrepare and submit Records of Employment (ROEs), T4s, and annual filingsEnsure compliance with federal and provincial payroll legislationMaintain and update employee payroll records, including new hires, terminations, and job changesOversee payroll tax remittances and year-end reportingRespond to payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies in a timely mannerCoordinate payroll system updates and integrations with HR and accounting systemsQualifications & ExperienceMinimum of 3 years' experience in accounting and payrollCPA designation considered an assetAutomotive dealership experience considered an assetExperience with CDK accounting software preferredAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and WordStrong organizational, analytical, and communication skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environmentHigh level of accuracy, professionalism, and discretionCompensation$70,000 – $80,000 per year, commensurate with experience.BenefitsExtended health benefitsDental coverageDisability insuranceLife insuranceStaff discounts#J-18808-Ljbffr
