We're looking for a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Home Care Nursing Programs team. The Director of Clinical Management (DCM) oversees all clinical activities delivered by the branch. The DCM is accountable to ensure implementation of effective management practices that promote professional and paraprofessional full scope of clinical practice to achieve excellence in the delivery of care and service to clients. The DCM will ensure compliance with internal and external standards of practice and provincial regulatory requirements. The DCM recruits and supervises Clinical Managers and oversees the recruitment and supervision of Field employees. The DCM leads the development and/or implementation of branch/location clinical programs and ensures consistent, appropriate, cost effective care by managing client's needs, contract requirements, company policy compliance, and financial objectives. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Adhere to Bayshore Policies and Procedures.
Participate and/or lead continuous quality improvement activities in keeping with the company's Quality Management System. Accountable to provide education and guidance that will support Clinical Managers in their oversight of clinical care and positive client and clinical outcomes including, holistic assessments, ongoing reassessments and management of professional and paraprofessional health care providers (HCPs). Visit clients as required to manage care and services and monitor client/ HCP matching to promote satisfaction, client safety, and positive outcomes. Responsible to ensure branch clinical competencies uphold inter-professional, client/patient-centered, goal-oriented care plans and advance high-quality, protected care, and positive health outcomes. This includes ongoing evaluation and identification of policy, process, and/or education needs. Lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of clinical programs and guide the implementation of a learning environment where evidence-based knowledge is translated via education to optimize the patient's outcomes and experiences. This includes identifying learning needs and developing education plans and activities aimed at improving clinical knowledge, skills, and competencies and supporting the ongoing professional development of professional and paraprofessional staff.
Support Clinical Managers in their supervision of professional and paraprofessional employees to ensure compliance with all federal and provincial legislated and regulatory standards of practice as well as company policies and procedures. Promote a healthy work environment that will lead to positive employee and client experiences. Provide constructive, timely, and ongoing feedback and performance management of Clinical Managers. Ensure the participation of Clinical Managers in internal and external education offerings such as Clinical, Quality, Health Informatics, and Privacy (CQ-HIP) webinars and ensure knowledge is disseminated to appropriate members of the team. Liaise with CQ-HIP on location support needs; elevate reportable practice concerns to CQ-HIP. Lead and provide mentorship to members of the clinical/administrative team while fostering Bayshore's mentorship framework within the larger team. Lead the integration of client satisfaction initiatives; ensure that all referred client concerns and complaints are satisfactorily addressed and documented in a timely manner. Demonstrate knowledge of current/evidence-based best practices and standards according to the provincial regulatory bodies and liaise with the provincial regulatory bodies as required. Liaise with funders, government programs, case managers, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team as required. Manage human resources including the recruitment, selection, performance review and discipline of Managers of Clinical Practice, Nursing Supervisors and field staff as appropriate; interpret and implementrelevant policies; assist with the recruitment and selection of Administrative and Supervisory employees as requested.
