Job Description

- Confirm findings with supervisor to determine whether to repair or replace unit
- Discuss work with supervisor
- Inspect and test mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions
- Inspect mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions
- Review work orders
- Road test motor vehicles
- Test automotive systems and components
- Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of automotive systems
- Repair or replace mechanical units or components
- Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer's specifications
- Estimate parts and labour cost to perform vehicle maintenance and repairs
- Perform scheduled maintenance service




- Test and adjust units to specifications
- Complete reports to record problems and work performed

Requirements

- Musthave 5 years or more of work experience.
- Mustbe able to communicate either English or French.
- Mustbe able to work in a dirty and noisy environment.
- Mustbe able to work in a garage setting.
- Musthave own transportation and a valid Driver’s License.
- Mustbe able to provide a Driving record check.
- Musthave an Automotive Service Technician Trade Certification.
- Workconditions and physical capabilities include solid hand-eye co-ordination,attention to detail, and manual dexterity, as well as the ability to stand forextended periods.
- Owntools/equipment required include tools and steel-toed safety boots.
- Personalsuitability includes accuracy, dependability, excellent written communication,reliability, teamwork, and punctuality.
