In this role, you will:Work with Customer Communications Composition stakeholders (business clients and internal technology teams) to gather requirements from business units and translate requirements to programmers, developers, and QA testersAct as the bridge between multiple parties including: our business, control functions, technology partners and our engineering teams (scrum team, QA’s, product owners, developers), responsible for delivering statements, among other client facing documents for Canadian Banking Products Engineering - Customer Communications Composition Team. The Business Analysis Specialist will be involved in both the project discovery and execution phasesFacilitate requirements gathering and design sessions with multiple stakeholders to extract requirements and turn them into use cases, user stories, sequence diagrams, etc. to meet development and stakeholder needsWorks on multiple projects as a project team memberWorks in an Agile/Scrum environment using Kanban methodologyWrite user stories on JIRA and document artifacts through ConfluencePerform data mapping analysis to migrate data and functions from current to target state systemsCreate, refine and maintain the product backlog and associated deliverables; release backlog with forecasted delivery timelinesSupport project delivery by providing clarifications on scope and requirements as neededAnalyze and develop technical requirements based on solution documentationDrive high-level E2E solutioning and estimations by working closely with business,



software architects and client application teamsTranslate complex problems and challenges into viable technical options and recommendationsInfluence business and engineering decisions with solid understanding of the banking systems and technical expertiseLiaisons with external vendors, product users, operations staff, technical support groups and other development teams in all phases of development project activities and production support activitiesDemonstrates an informed knowledge of business functions to resolve problems and capitalize on improvement opportunitiesAssists to help execute end to end testing functions (creating test scripts, test cases and executing test cases/scripts), where required, to assist the project teamSupports one or more highly complex business processesEnsure integrity of the business and technical requirements in the end-to-end customer journeyChampions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationshipsKeep current on rapidly changing technological trends, self teach new technologies and maintain an understanding of the Division’s business and technology strategiesActs in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct riskChampions a high performance workplace and contributes to an inclusive work environmentServe as the SME of assigned functional area, oversee all past and future changes and make suggestions on improvements as needed.Maintain Customer Communications Composition documentations to ensure that information is up to date and easily accessible by both internal and external teams.Understand how the
