- The candidate will interface with the public to support and facilitate the Paint in the Park and Music in the Streets programs from June to August.
- The candidate will be responsible for planning, implementing, supervising, and leading a variety of cultural activities for children, youth, and adults.
- The candidate will provide guidance to volunteers on their program duties and ensure the safe and proper use of equipment and facilities.
- The candidate will perform duties within established guidelines while exercising independent action and initiative in leading and instructing assigned programs.
Job Requirements
- The candidate must have completed high school or an equivalent level of education.
- The candidate should have some related experience, preferably within municipal cultural programs or community services.
- The candidate must have supervisory or leadership experience relevant to program delivery.
- The candidate must possess a valid St. John’s First Aid Certificate (SOFA) or an equivalent certification.
- The candidate must submit valid First Aid and CPR certification at the time of application or before the start date if currently in progress.
- The candidate should have experience in the creative sector.
- The candidate should have knowledge of common artistic media.
- The candidate should have a valid Driver’s License and access to a car.
- The candidate should have experience in Collections Management or Heritage.

- The candidate may be required to undergo a police information check, including a vulnerable sector check.
- The candidate will receive 12% in lieu of benefits.
