This is a unique prospect for a safety qualified to join the HSER team for a 12-month term, working a two-week on/two-week off schedule.

You'll leverage five years of relevant safety experience in the mining sector to ensure compliance with the HSER Management System and promote a culture of safety. Collaborate with peers on various strategic initiatives aimed at transforming the current operational environment. Key Responsibilities:
Represent VNL at regulatory and industry association forums
Manage HSER audits and compliance checks




Develop and initiate HSER planning and budgeting strategies
Provide mentorship on safety compliance
Conduct regular inspections and audits of site practices Requirements:
Post-secondary degree in a safety-related field necessary
Minimum of five years of safety experience required
Technical certification in Occupational Health & Safety
Familiarity with Newfoundland and Labrador's OH&S; regulations
