Duties
Prepare and bake a variety of baked goods including bread, pastries, cakes, and cookies with precision and creativity
Decorate cakes and desserts using cake decorating techniques to meet customer specifications and quality standards
Assist with food preparation tasks such as mixing, measuring, and portioning ingredients efficiently
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery workspace in accordance with food safety regulations
Package baked items carefully for retail display or customer takeout, ensuring presentation quality
Monitor baking times and oven temperatures to ensure products are baked to perfection
Provide excellent customer service by answering questions about baked goods and offering product recommendations when needed
Requirements
Proven experience in baking, cake decorating, or working in a busy kitchen workplace, preferably within the food industry or restaurant setting
Knowledge of food handling procedures and adherence to food safety standards
Strong skills in food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen operations
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced bakery environment
Excellent attention to detail for decorating cakes and maintaining product consistency
Positive communication skills and a positive attitude toward teamwork and customer service
Prior experience with packaging baked goods for retail or wholesale distribution is a plus
