We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Truck Driver - Class 1 to join our transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating heavy-duty trucks to transport aggregate across various routes, ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism. Your expertise in commercial driving, heavy equipment operation, and automotive repair will be essential to keep our operations running smoothly. Responsibilities
Safely operate Class 1 heavy-duty trucks to transport freight over short and long distances, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, including checking brakes, lights, tires, and load security
Load and unload aggregate in a secure and timely manner
Maintain accurate documentation for shipments, including delivery logs, inspection reports, and freight manifests
Communicate effectively with dispatchers, pit personnel, and clients to coordinate pickups and deliveries
Perform minor automotive repairs or troubleshooting as needed to ensure vehicle safety and operational readiness
Operate heavy equipment such as pay loaders when required for loading or unloading cargo
Qualifications
Valid Class 1 commercial driver’s license with a clean driving record
Proven experience in commercial driving and freight transportation operation and heavy equipment handling
Knowledge of automotive repair basics for troubleshooting vehicle issues
Ability to perform detailed vehicle inspections and adhere to safety protocols
Strong communication skills and ability to follow detailed instructions
Physical ability to lift heavy loads and perform manual tasks related to freight handling
