Utopia Café & Play is launching a new weekly creative program for children ages 3 to 5, and we’re looking for a fun, energetic, and reliable Dance Instructor to lead engaging movement‑based sessions once every 4 weeks as part of our curriculum.
This role is ideal for someone who loves working with kids, enjoys creative expression, and can confidently lead a group in a structured but playful environment.
About the Program
Weekly creative program for children ages 3–5, including arts and crafts, dance and music lessons.
Maximum 15 children per session
Dance instruction offered once every 4 weeks within the program
Sessions run Wednesdays between 3 PM and 5 PM
One-hour dance class per session
Classes are un-parented but parents stay in office
A Utopia staff member will always be present to support with logistics and classroom management
What You’ll Do
Lead a one-hour dance session for young children
Create age‑appropriate movement activities, themed sessions, or straightforward choreography
Foster a positive, inclusive, and encouraging environment
Collaborate with our team to ensure smooth class flow
Communicate clearly with parents and staff
Bring creativity, enthusiasm, and patience to every session
What We’re Looking For
Experience teaching dance or movement to children
Background in dance, performing arts, early childhood education, or related fields
Robust classroom management and communication skills
Reliable, punctual, and comfortable leading groups
Ability to adapt activities for different skill levels
Friendly, warm, and engaging personality
Pay: $40.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 2.0 per week
