Responsibilities
Safely operate heavy-duty trucks to transport freight over designated routes while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and readiness
Load and unload cargo with proper handling techniques, including heavy lifting when necessary
Maintain accurate delivery documentation, logs, and delivery schedules to ensure smooth operations
Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse teams, and customers to coordinate pickups and deliveries
Follow all safety protocols to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with transportation regulations
Perform routine vehicle maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues promptly
Experience
Proven experience as a qualified truck driver with a clean driving record
Ability to handle heavy lifting safely and efficiently during loading and unloading processes
Robust driving skills with knowledge of traffic laws, safety standards, and route planning
Excellent communication skills for interacting with team members and customers
