Extendicare is seeking a regular permanent part-time Certified Activity Aide to implement and evaluate both individual and group activation programs. You will ensure the well-being of residents by monitoring their behavior during programs and collaborating with the Supervisor. Effectively managing records and transportation for residents is essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan and evaluate activation programs for residents
• Set up and clean activity areas before and after use
• Monitor residents’ behavior and report changes




• Collaborate with other departments for resident needs
• Maintain accurate program and resident records
Requirements:
• Approved Activation/Gerontology Diploma or Degree required
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience in program planning for various resident needs
• Ability to work independently and manage time
• Knowledge in geriatric care, especially cognitive impairments
