Azars’ Music School is looking for a professional, friendly, patient, and dedicated Drum and Guitar Teacher to join our team in North Vancouver.

We are seeking an experienced teacher who is comfortable teaching private and/or group lessons to students at beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels.

Requirements:
Diploma or Certificate in Music or a related field (Bachelor's degree is preferred)
Strong proficiency in drums and guitar
Familiarity with RCM, Rockschool and/or Trinity College London is an asset
Previous experience teaching children
Ability to create engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans
Patient, friendly, encouraging, and qualified teaching style
Solid communication skills with students, parents, and administration
Reliable, punctual, organized, and responsible
Preferably available on Mondays and Tuesdays from 3:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Preferably living in North Vancouver or a nearby area

Responsibilities:
Teach private and/or group drum and guitar lessons
Teach students from beginner to advanced levels




Develop lessons based on each student’s age, ability, interests, and goals
Teach technique, rhythm, music reading, theory, improvisation, and performance skills
Prepare students for recitals, festivals, auditions, and performances when needed
Provide clear weekly assignments and practice expectations
Track students’ progress and communicate professionally with parents and the school
Create a positive, structured, and encouraging learning workplace
Help students develop confidence, musicianship, and a love of music
