Searching to fill a position at our busy Family Health Organization (5 physicians) for the role of a part time medical office administrator to cover for a short term leave, with a potential to turn into full time status.
Responsibilities
EMR experience (Telus PS Suite considered an asset)
Operating a high paced multi-line phone system. Take messages, provide general information; greet and direct patients; answer routine inquiries; maintain log of inquiries as required.
Must be able to communicate effectively with patients and supervisors of all levels while maintaining patient confidentiality and medical ethics dealing with patient care.
Booking appointments into scheduling system using the appropriate process for differing treatments and patients and confirming upcoming appointments.
Scanning and posting results and consultation notes
Referral follow ups with specialist offices
Responding and acting on doctor's messages
Faxing, filing and record keeping
Greet,
register and direct patients to examination rooms
Handling uninsured bills and payment transactions as needed
Qualifications
Minimum 1 year of MOA experience
Previous experience with Telus PS Suite (EMR) considered an asset
Strong knowledge and use of Computers and Google Suite (Drive, Word, Excel, Email)
Strong word processing and/or data entry skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to understand and follow specific instructions and procedures
