About the Role
Sunshine Care is seeking compassionate and reliable Personal Support Workers (PSWs) and experienced Caregivers to join our growing team. You will provide in-home support to seniors and individuals with unique care needs, helping them maintain comfort, dignity, and independence.
This role involves delivering personal care and day-to-day assistance while fostering a safe, respectful, and supportive workplace.
Key Responsibilities
Support mobility and safe transfers using appropriate techniques and equipment
Prepare meals and assist with light housekeeping tasks
Offer companionship and encourage engagement in meaningful activities
Maintain accurate documentation of care provided
Collaborate with families and care teams to ensure a holistic approach to care
Skills and Attributes
Previous experience in senior care, home support, or assisted living settings
Comfortable supporting clients with diverse physical or cognitive needs
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Reliable, patient, and committed to high-quality care
Basic home management and cooking skills
Familiarity with home care protocols is an asset
Qualifications
PSW Certificate from a recognized Ontario college or private career college (Asset, not requirement)
Valid Ontario Driver’s License (G2 or G) and reliable transportation
Minimum 2 years of experience working with seniors (preferred)
Current CPR and First Aid (Level C) certification
Transparent Vulnerable Sector Police Check
Proof of immunizations and recent TB screening
Compliance with current public health guidelines
Availability to work flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends
At least one professional reference (preferably a past supervisor or manager)

Pay: $19.00-$21.00 per hour
