Duties
Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including exams, cleanings, restorations, and orthodontic treatments
Prepare treatment rooms with the necessary instruments and materials, ensuring sterilization and cleanliness standards are met
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) using CAD (Computer-Aided Design) technology for accurate imaging
Manage patient records efficiently using dental software such as Dentrix and Epic to ensure accurate documentation
Provide excellent patient care by explaining procedures, answering questions, and ensuring comfort throughout visits
Support front desk staff by handling patient check-ins, scheduling appointments, and managing billing processes
Maintain inventory of dental supplies and order materials as needed to keep the clinic fully equipped
Skills
Proven experience in dental assisting with knowledge of dental procedures and patient care techniques
Proficiency with dental management software including Dentrix and Epic for scheduling, charting, and billing
Familiarity with orthodontics procedures and supporting orthodontic patients
Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to dentistry and pediatrics treatments
Ability to assist with pediatric patients in a compassionate and gentle manner
Experience with CAD technology for imaging enhances diagnostic accuracy
Excellent communication skills as a dental receptionist when coordinating patient flow and answering inquiries
