Duties
Assist with meal preparation and food service, ensuring timely set up and delivery of nutritious meals to residents.
Serve food and beverages with professionalism, courtesy, and a friendly attitude
Follow proper food handling procedures to maintain safety and sanitation standards in compliance with health regulations
Help with cleaning and sanitizing kitchen areas, dining spaces, utensils, and equipment to ensure a hygienic environment
Support kitchen staff with basic food preparation tasks as needed, including portioning and plating meals
Serve meals according to residents’ correct diet and preferences to provide personalized service
Record temperatures, and documentation of supplies and sanitation routines
Experience
Prior experience in nursing homes, hospitals, or the food industry is highly preferred
Demonstrated skills in food preparation, or food service roles
Knowledge of food safety practices and sanitation standards necessary for healthcare environment
Robust customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and courteously with residents
Ability to manage time efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
Experience with food handling procedures and kitchen operations is advantageous
Familiarity with serving techniques and meal presentation enhances the quality of service provided
