Expert Mobile Communications is a locally owned and operated communications company serving Grande Prairie and clients across Western Canada for over 30 years.

We are looking for an experienced Wireless, Radio & SCADA Communications Technician to join our team. This is a hands-on field position working with two-way radio systems, SCADA/data radios, cellular boosters, repeaters, wireless networks and related communications technology.

Responsibilities
Install, program, troubleshoot and repair two-way radio systems
Install, configure and troubleshoot SCADA/data radio communication systems
Install mobile radios and communications equipment in vehicles and equipment
Install and service cellular boosters, repeaters, antennas and wireless systems
Troubleshoot RF, SCADA and wireless communication issues
Install and support antennas, cabling, access points, switches and routers
Complete field installations, service calls and preventative maintenance
Perform tower and work-at-height duties when required
Test equipment, diagnose signal issues and ensure reliable communications
Maintain accurate service and installation records




Work independently while supporting the broader Expert team

Qualifications
1–2+ years of experience in SCADA, radio communications, wireless communications, telecom or a related technical field
Experience with SCADA/data radios and RF communications is a robust asset
Two-way radio experience, including Motorola, Kenwood or similar systems, is an asset
Experience with cellular boosters, repeaters, antennas and wireless networking is an asset
Robust troubleshooting and technical problem-solving skills
Comfortable completing field work and working at heights when required
Valid Class 5 driver's licence with a clean driving record
Strong customer service and communication skills
Able to work independently and as part of a team

Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
