Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Tailor to join our fashion retail team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for garment construction and customer service, with the ability to create and alter clothing to meet client specifications. The role involves working with sewing machines, understanding fabric and design, and providing personalized fitting services to our customers.

Duties
Alter and adjust garments for proper fit, including hemming, taking in or letting out seams, and resizing
Construct recent garments based on customer requests or design specifications
Operate sewing machines efficiently and safely to complete alterations and creations
Assist customers by providing expert advice on fabric choices, styles, and fit options
Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored
Collaborate with the sales team to ensure customer satisfaction and timely delivery of tailored items
Keep detailed records of alterations and custom orders for future reference





Experience
Previous experience in fashion retail or tailoring is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
Proficiency in sewing machine operation and garment construction techniques
Strong sewing skills with attention to detail and quality craftsmanship
Basic math skills for measurements, pattern adjustments, and calculations related to garment fitting
Knowledge of fabric types, sewing techniques, and garment fitting standards is a plus
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients of diverse backgrounds

Pay: $15.70-$29.01 per hour
