Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Pest Control Technician to join our team. This role involves inspecting, treating, and preventing pest issues across residential and commercial properties. The ideal candidate will have a solid attention to detail, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to operate various tools and equipment. Prior experience with sales or familiarity with hand tools, and power tools is a plus. This position offers an opportunity to develop specialized skills in pest management while contributing to the health and safety of our clients.
Duties
Conduct thorough inspections of properties to identify pest infestations and entry points
Apply appropriate pest control treatments using industry-standard methods and equipment
Educate clients on pest prevention techniques and recommend ongoing maintenance plans
Use hand tools, power tools, effectively during treatment procedures
Maintain accurate records of treatments performed and follow-up schedules
Assist in the setup and cleanup of treatment areas, ensuring safety protocols are followed
Promote services through effective communication and sales techniques to increase customer satisfaction and retention
Requirements
Prior experience in pest control, sales, or related fields is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided
Ability to operate hand tools, power tools safely
Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Excellent communication skills for customer interaction and education
Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and lift moderate loads as needed
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is required for travel between sites
Willingness to learn industry best practices and safety procedures
