Prima Academy is a growing music and arts school in Markham, Ontario. We are looking for a qualified and experienced Flute & Saxophone Teacher to join our teaching team.

Position
Part-time Flute & Saxophone Teacher
Private one-on-one lessons
Students ages 4 to adult
Beginner to advanced levels
RCM exam preparation and performance development

Responsibilities
Provide structured and engaging flute and/or saxophone lessons
Build strong fundamentals including tone, breathing, technique, rhythm, and musicianship
Adapt lessons to each student's age, level, and individual goals
Prepare students for RCM exams, performances, auditions, and competitions when applicable
Communicate professionally with students, parents, and the academy
Maintain a positive and encouraging learning environment

Qualifications
Strong background in Flute and/or Saxophone performance
Previous teaching experience preferred
Formal education in Music, Performance, Music Education, or a related field is an asset
Experience teaching children and youth is preferred




RCM teaching experience or knowledge of RCM curriculum is an asset
Reliable, patient, and professional
Solid communication and interpersonal skills

Schedule

Flexible part-time hours, with availability during weekday evenings and weekends preferred.
