Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will assist in food preparation, ensure food safety standards are met, and support the kitchen staff in delivering high-quality meals. This role is essential in maintaining productive kitchen operations and providing exceptional service to our guests. Prior restaurant or kitchen experience is preferred, but a solid passion for food and learning is equally valued.

Duties
Prepare ingredients and assist with meal preparation according to recipes and standards
Handle food safely and maintain cleanliness in all food handling areas
Assist in cooking tasks, including chopping, slicing, marinating, and assembling dishes
Support the kitchen team in maintaining a well-organized workspace
Ensure all food items are prepared in accordance with health and safety regulations
Help with stocking supplies and rotating stock to minimize waste
Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment by following proper cleaning procedures




Serve food promptly and accurately during meal service times

Requirements
Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or kitchen environment preferred
Knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods
Familiarity with food safety standards and proper handling procedures
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Solid attention to detail and organizational skills
Excellent teamwork and communication skills
Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to kitchen needs
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 pounds
