Elevate teaching practices at Algonquin College as a full-time Indigenous Pedagogy Curriculum Consultant. This role focuses on integrating Indigenous knowledge into academic curricula while fostering faculty development through meaningful relationships.
The incumbent will work collaboratively under the Chair of Teaching Excellence and Innovation. This position requires deep knowledge of Indigenous pedagogies and a commitment to reconciliation, promoting inclusive practices across all disciplines at Algonquin. You will lead workshops, develop resources, and support faculty in embedding Indigenous perspectives within their teaching.
Key Responsibilities:
• Build relationships with faculty through consultations • Develop workshops and digital resources on Indigenous knowledge • Lead skilled learning programs on Indigenous pedagogies • Support integration of Indigenous practices into curricula • Collaborate with Elders and community representatives
Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field • Minimum three years of teaching experience • Knowledge of Indigenous pedagogical methodologies • Experience with curriculum development projects • Solid interpersonal and communication skills
