We have a short term prospect for a ticketed welder-MIG welding is required for the next two weeks. If you are a semi retired welder, recently retired or someone with their own business who is between jobs/contracts, send us your information.

Apache Pipeline Products is a leading manufacturer in pipeline cleaning and maintenance equipment. Proudly based in Canada, we manufacture and supply pigs and pigging-related equipment for oil, gas and pipeline companies across the globe. Our team is dedicated to providing the oil and gas industry with the highest quality pipeline cleaning and maintenance.

We are currently requiring some help in our Welding area of the Fabrication department.

GMAW (Mig) Welding

This position would be attractive to someone looking for contract work assignments.

Responsibilities/Competencies
Perform structural welding.
Read and follow drawings to set up, tack, and weld to produce a quality product.
Use templates, temporary material, gauging devices, and/or patterns to create material joins.
Must complete all necessary preparation work including grinding. Torch work may be required.
Operate hand and power tools of all types.
Must maintain valuable housekeeping (safe, clean, and orderly work area).
Ability to read and interpret welding blueprints,



designs and welding process specifications.
Examine welds to ensure they meet industry standards
Working knowledge of all welding processes, this role focusses specifically on MIG welding
Be able to take instruction and work independently
Follow and enforce all safety measures
Show initiative
Excellent problem solving skills

Education, Training and Experience
Journeyman/Woman certificate
CWB an asset but not required
Exceptional oral and written English
Minimum 3 years experience
Able to operate overhead crane, bandsaw, and oxy-acetylene torch
Plasma cutter experience an asset

Job Type: Temporary

Contract length: minimum of 2 weeks work

Pay: $36-$40

Expected hours: 40 per week, some overtime may be requested occasionally.

Schedule:
Monday to Friday
8:00 AM – 4:30

Pay: $36.00-$40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week

Education:
AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (required)

Experience:
MIG welding: 3 years (preferred)

Language:
English fluently (preferred)

Licence/Certification:
clean class 5 driver's license (preferred)
journeyman ticket (required)

Work Location: In person
