JOB SUMMARY:
Working alongside the Bartender, the Barback ensures the Bartender has everything they need during service. This is a great opportunity to learn the ins and outs of bartending in a premium workplace.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
(other duties may be assigned as required)
Assists with opening and closing bar operations
Restock and replenish bar inventory as needed
Monitors and maintains overall appearance and proper sanitation of work area
Washes glasses and service equipment
Changes out kegs
Assists with preparation of fruit garnishes, juices, syrups and purees
Anticipates customers needs, providing direct assistance where possible
Assists with back of house liquor inventory
Support service staff where needed
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience in barbacking or bussing preferred
Mixology or Bartending certification is a robust asset
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
Well organised and able to work at speed and deal with high volume
Proactive self-starter who thrives in a fast pace setting
High energy self-starter with a can-do friendly attitude
Ability to lift heavy weights and be on your feet for long periods of time
A desire to learn
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays
