Duties:
Dispense prescription medications to patients and provide appropriate instructions for use
Review and interpret physicians' orders and ensure accuracy and appropriateness of medication therapy
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
Monitor patients' medication therapy for effectiveness, adverse reactions, and interactions
Provide counseling to patients on the proper use of medications and potential side effects
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of medication therapy
Experience:
Bachelor's or Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited institution
Current state pharmacist license in positive standing
Robust knowledge of medication administration, drug interactions, and pharmaceutical calculations
Experience working in a hospital or clinical setting is preferred
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Skills:
Proficient in medication dispensing systems and pharmacy software
Ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in medication preparation and dispensing
Knowledge of federal and state regulations governing pharmacy practice
