Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Hydrovac Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and experience in operating heavy equipment. As a Hydrovac Operator, you will play a crucial role in safely excavating and transporting materials at various construction sites. This position requires a commitment to safety, efficiency, and teamwork.
Responsibilities
Operate hydrovac trucks to excavate soil and debris safely and efficiently.
Conduct pre-trip inspections of equipment to ensure secure operational conditions.
Collaborate with crew members to complete excavation tasks while adhering to safety protocols.
Maintain equipment by performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting mechanical issues.
Assist in the setup and breakdown of job sites, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
Communicate effectively with team members and site supervisors regarding project progress and challenges.
Adhere to all company policies and procedures related to safety and operational standards.
Skills
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
Experience in commercial driving,
particularly with hydrovac trucks or similar vehicles.
Proficiency in operating commercial trucks such as combo & hydro vacs, water trucks, and dump trucks.
Familiarity with construction site operations and safety practices.
Experience with horizontal drilling techniques is a plus.
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while demonstrating solid communication skills.
Requirements
Minimum of 2 years experience as a Hydrovac Operator.
Ability to pass drug test
