Sold in over 60 international markets, Joseph Ribkoff is a global emblem of quality and elegance.Montreal Corporate Head Office, where most of their employees are based, offers career opportunities in Design, Operations, Sales, Marketing, Finance, IT and HR as well as in the Production and Warehousing facilities.Position OverviewThe product development specialist is responsible for developing seasonal styles from concept to prototype approval, ensuring all design details are accurately executed. This role creates Illustrator sketches, manages style information in the product development system, and oversees style progression throughout development.The product development specialist collaborates closely with Sourcing and Costing teams to ensure orders are placed, product information is complete, and timelines are met.
They participate in print meetings, contribute creative ideas and trend insights, support special design projects, and assist Junior Stylists when required.ResponsibilitiesPutting styles into work and ensuring the follow up of the prototypesCreate Illustrator sketches and monitor the product development in the computer systemFollow up with sourcing department to ensure all orders are placed for their specific stylesMaking sure all information of a style is given to the costing team after the prototypes are approvedParticipate in the prints meetings and voice their opinions on printsWhen given special projects, come up with ideas to be presented to the head of designOffer help to the Junior Stylists when needed on low impact decisionsContribute positively to team dynamics.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONs5 years of experience in the women fashion industryDegree in fashion designBilingual (English and French) written and spokenDemonstrated detail orientation; high sense of organizationCreativity and a sense of style, bringing new Ideas to the tableAbility to manage multiple projectsAbility to work in a fast-paced setting and to meet tight deadlinesAbility to take some initiatives of low impact on their projectsEnsure great communication between departmentsTechnical abilities on Adobe Illustrator design software (required)Great team playerJoseph Ribkoff is an equal opportunity at will employer and does not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because of age, race, religion, color, disability, sex, sexual orientation or national origin.#J-18808-Ljbffr
