About the Opportunity

We are partnering with a well-established, respected professional accounting firm based in Charlottetown, PE, serving clients across Prince Edward Island and Atlantic Canada. This firm is part of a strong regional alliance of independent CPA firms, offering enhanced collaboration, resources, and professional support.

Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Tax Manager to join their high-performing team. This role works closely with senior leadership and plays a critical role in delivering tax compliance, planning, and advisory services to a diverse client base.

Key Responsibilities
Lead and prepare corporate reorganizations and advanced tax planning
Support succession and estate planning initiatives
Assist with tax audits, reviews, assessments, voluntary disclosures, and notices of objection
Conduct tax research and respond to complex tax inquiries
Manage a variety of complex tax engagements, including:
Corporate tax returns
Personal tax returns
Trust returns
Provide ongoing technical tax guidance and support to internal team members
Work closely with senior partners on strategic tax matters





Qualifications & Experience
CPA designation or equivalent qualified accounting designation
Completion of CPA Canada’s In-Depth Tax Course
3–5+ years of full-time, progressive tax experience
Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
Proven ability to work independently and within a collaborative team environment
High level of confidentiality, accuracy, and attention to detail
Exceptional time management and prioritization skills
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving ability
Advanced computer proficiency, including:
CaseWare
TaxPrep
Sage
QuickBooks
Microsoft Office Suite

Additional Requirements
Willingness to work additional hours during peak tax periods
Local travel as required to meet client needs
