Be a vital part of pediatric care as a Registered Practical Nurse with CHEO in Ottawa. This temporary role focuses on assessing and implementing nursing care for children and youth. In this independent role, you will be responsible for the nursing care of patients at CHEO, using a cooperative approach with physicians and multidisciplinary teams. Your expertise with respiratory diseases and asthma will play a crucial role in supporting families and children through their healthcare journeys. Flexibility to work days, evenings, and weekends will be necessary as you engage with families in navigating services effectively. Key Responsibilities:
Assess patients’ clinical data and vital signs
Assist with medical procedures and monitor patients




Administer medications as permitted by your practice
Coordinate care with healthcare specialists
Provide education and emotional support to families Requirements:
Eligible for registration with the College of Nurses in Ontario
Current Basic Life Support certification
Minimum two years of pediatric experience preferred
