Empower young learners as an Indigenous Land-Based Learning Naturalist with Kawartha Pine Ridge District School Board. This role is essential for providing inclusive outdoor education for grades JK to 12.

Focused on developing experiential, curriculum-aligned programs, you will ensure the safe operations of the Outdoor Education Centre while fostering Indigenous perspectives. Your work will engage students with the environment, connecting them to cultural teachings and land-based learning.

Key Responsibilities: • Plan and facilitate hands-on outdoor learning opportunities • Integrate Indigenous content and team-oriented practices • Create engaging resources to enhance visual learning • Oversee daily operations and safety of the education centre • Collaborate with teachers to optimize outdoor activities

Requirements: • Completed three-year diploma in environmental studies • At least one year in Indigenous community collaboration • Valid First Aid & CPR certificate required • Drivers’ license and access to a vehicle • In-depth understanding of ecosystems and stewardship
