The Planner/Scheduler will be an integral part of our client's project management team, primarily focusing on brown field heavy industrial projects. Utilizing Primavera P6, the Planner/Scheduler will manage and coordinate schedules for up to 6 subcontractors in a agile environment with frequent changes. The individual must be adaptive, detail-oriented, and skilled at planning and balancing multiple priorities.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent experience in related field.
Minimum of 5 experience in scheduling for heavy industrial brown field projects.
Proficient in Primavera P6; certification is a plus.
Robust understanding of construction methods, processes, and sequence of events in brown field settings.
Ability to work in challenging settings with frequent changes and tight deadlines.
Ability to multitask and manage multiple subcontractor schedules simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, maintain, and manage project schedules using Primavera P6,
integrating all subcontractor activities.
Address complexities of brownfield settings to minimize disruption to ongoing operations.
Liaise with subcontractors, managers, engineers, and stakeholders to synchronize project elements.
Integrate subcontractor schedules into the master project timeline.
Adjust the project schedule for scope changes, deliverables, and other modifications.
Highlight and address potential schedule overlaps and delays, creating mitigation plans.
Regularly update stakeholders on project progress, changes, and forecasts.
Use Gantt charts and network diagrams to visually communicate project progression.
Offer analytical reports including critical path, float/slack analysis, and resource histograms.
Recognize scheduling risks and collaborate with the project team for mitigation.
Ensure schedules account for project risks and include relevant contingencies.
Keep scheduling documentation updated and thoroughly detail changes and their implications.
