Support Indigenous communities as a Phone and Navigation Support Worker for ONWA. This pivotal role enhances health access by advocating for Indigenous women and families in Ontario. As part of the Mindimooyenh Indigenous Health Systems team, you will guide community members through health service navigation while prioritizing their cultural needs. Your background in health sciences or social services, along with your solid communication skills, will enable you to form therapeutic relationships and promote community well-being. This position not only addresses healthcare access but also incorporates education and advocacy to uplift Indigenous voices across the board. Key Responsibilities:
Facilitate access to health care services
Provide personalized advocacy and support remotely




Develop and execute educational programs for the community
Collaborate with healthcare providers and stakeholders
Document and reflect on community health experiences Requirements:
Post-secondary diploma in health sciences/social services
Minimum 3 years of relevant advocacy experience
Solid documentation and communication skills
Reliable vehicle and valid G Class Driver’s License
Understanding of Indigenous culture and healthcare systems Utilize your skills in advocacy and community engagement to make a significant impact on Indigenous health outcomes. #J-18808-Ljbffr
