Transform lives in the Richmond community as a Youth Support Worker. Focus on aiding youth involved with the justice system aged 12 to 17 through mentorship and resource access.
This position is crucial in providing direct outreach to youth facing challenges in social and justice systems. You will work collaboratively with Richmond RCMP, local agencies, and community partners to deliver personalized case plans that target strengths, needs, and barriers. Your efforts will revolve around the Building Bridges initiative to promote positive youth outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Establish impactful relationships with at-risk youth
• Collaborate with partners for effective referral coordination
• Conduct assessments to tailor service plans
• Offer continuous one-on-one mentorship
• Navigate systems to remove barriers for youth
Requirements:
• Relevant diploma in social or behavioral sciences
• 2-5 years experience in youth support or outreach
• Hold a valid Class 5 B.C. Driver's Licence
• Certification in First Aid and CPR
• Understanding of adolescent behavioral influences
