If you thrive on challenges, are motivated to advance, and are ready to step outside your comfort zone, you’ll fit right in.Key ResponsibilitiesPrune trees to remove dead, damaged, or diseased branches to improve structure, appearance, and safety.Ensure proper pruning techniques are followed to avoid damaging the tree.Work safely in and around power lines.Work with tree‑climbing techniques or aerial lifts for larger trees.Supervise arborist laborers or tree care crews during projects.Coordinate and manage tasks on larger job sites, ensuring smooth operations and safe practices.Evaluate site conditions and recommend best tree care practices for the location.Assume responsibility for inspection and proper working conditions of tools, trucks, and other equipment.Request repair or replacement of equipment when necessary.Maintain detailed records of tree care activities, including treatments, inspections, and maintenance schedules.Perform other duties as required.Experience and Knowledge Expectations2 years of experience trimming/pruning trees in a residential setting.Valid Class5 driver’s license with less than 6 demerits; air brakes endorsement considered an asset.Must pass pre‑employment drug and alcohol screening.Valid First‑Aid and CPR certification or willingness to obtain.Ability to work as part of a team in physically demanding environments.Motivated to learn independently and from team members, with strong time‑management skills.Proficiency in operating and maintaining tools and equipment.Comfortable working in noisy environments with proper PPE.Willingness to work long hours, overtime, and participate in on‑call rotations during emergencies.Basic knowledge of trees, including identification and growth habits, considered an asset.BenefitsPay: $30–$35 per hour based on experience, certifications, and commitment to ongoing development.Mentorship and ongoing training opportunities.Growth focus: Education and training to develop workers to full potential.Work shifts: Minimum of 40 hours per week, year‑round.Comprehensive medical and dental advantages.100% PPE provided; bring only CSA‑approvedwork boots.Industry‑leading climbing gear 100% provided.Employee‑owned company: Units purchased on your behalf based on company performance, at no cost to you.EEO StatementOur hiring practices ensure that all qualified candidates are considered, and decisions are merit‑based.
