Role Summary The VP, Tax-Strategy is responsible for helping to shape and advance the firm’s tax philosophy, tax-aware investment capabilities, and advisor-facing tax narrative. This role sits at the intersection of Investments, Distribution, Product, Marketing, and Compliance. The VP,



Tax-Strategy will help PICTON deliver better after-tax outcomes for Canadians while building advisor confidence in tax-efficient investing, a mandate that is growing in importance as clients demand more personalized, after-tax-focused portfolio solutions. The role serves three core mandates: Retail Distribution: Act as a trusted resource who supports advisors with practical, evidence-based tax strategies and compelling educational content. Investment Portfolios: Partner closely with Investment teams to ensure discretionary portfolios and recent product development incorporate tax efficiency and after-tax outcomes as core design principles. Firm Tax Narrative: Contribute to developing and evolving PICTON’s tax messaging, helping advisors and investors clearly understand how tax-aware investing improves outcomes, while ensuring all communications are substantiated and compliant. The ideal candidate brings strong technical grounding in tax and investments, the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly, and the judgment to navigate a regulated environment. Key Responsibilities Tax-Aware Investment Leadership Serve as a key subject matter expert on tax-aware investing and after-tax portfolio outcomes. Develop frameworks and strategies to improve after-tax returns across investment portfolios and client segments. Partner with Portfolio Management teams to incorporate tax efficiency into portfolio construction, asset location, capital gains management, and income strategies. Advise on tax implications related to product design, investment strategies, and client outcomes.
