We are now recruiting

Welders/Ironworkers

for upcomingturnaround and shutdown projects

to supportthe team based in

Wabush (Labrador) .

We areactively looking to fill short-duration (7 days) and long-duration (multiple10+ days) openings for our busy shutdown season.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

Set up components for welding/fabrication as per standardspecifications;

Perform field layout measurements for fabrication and provide fieldsketches to the planning department.

Weld different metals and alloys in various positions;

Advanced measuring skills;

Ability to lift and manipulate large metal objects;

Weld/fabricate a variety of equipment and industrial components;

Determine appropriate welding equipment or methods based onindividual job requirements;

Read and understand production drawings, blueprints, work ordersand other written instructions;

Operate grinders, gouging and cutting equipment;

Create jigs and fixtures to create a quality and repeatableproduct;

Maintenance and use of equipment that does not compromise safety;

Quality - Testing and inspection of welds to discover flaws;

Participate and comply with all required Health & SafetyPrograms and training;

Work safely,



lead by example and contribute to the safety program;

Communicate appropriately, confidently, and professionally tocolleagues and management;

Support painting of fabricated components;

Other tasks as assigned.

Profil Qualifications:

3-5 or moreyears of experience within an industrial setting is required

Welding or Fabrication certification is required; indenturedapprentices will be considered.

Familiarity with standard welding tools and procedures, includingMIG welding, stick welding, flux core welding, plasma cutting, metalfabricating, grinding, and finishing metals;

Millwright and equipment guarding experience would be a considerableasset;

Experience using a variety of welding equipment and procedures(Mainly SMAW, & FCAW);

Experience doing field layout and developing plans for fabrication;

Experience doing sketches for field fabrication work;

Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings;

Mechanical aptitude, experience or certification in other trades anasset;

Self-motivated, organized and able to work independently;

Able to work in a team environment and utilize all availableresources;

Excellent communication skills – both oral and written;

Previous supervisory experience will be considered an asset;
