You are a key and key member of the Mountain Operations team, ensuring a safe and exceptional experience for all Lift Operation crew members and mountain guests. You lead by example and possess excellent leadership skills.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONSCoaching and overseeing lift operations staffAssist in conducting lift operations meetings for every shift and arranging for staff breaksAssisting with pre-operational checks & closing procedures and conducting daily lift inspectionsEnsuring adequate staffing levels for efficient lift operationCoaching and motivating staff to maintain a high standard of customer serviceTraining staff on all operating and safety procedures of a fixed grip chairliftOrganizing daily assignments to lift stations and coordinating scheduled lunch breaksReporting guest comments, employee relation issues and liability concerns directly to the Duty ManagerAssisting with transport and providing labor for various jobsOther duties as requiredSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESThis position provides direct supervision to the Lift Operator team.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND ABILITIESSupervisory experience preferred, minimum 1 season winter operations experienceMinimum intermediate level skiing/snowboarding abilityKnowledge of Grouse Mountain Resort policies and proceduresKnowledge of detachable, fixed grip, tow and conveyor lift systemsPossess proven leadership abilitiesContinually lead by example with a positive attitudeAbility to lift up to 40lbsAbility to work outside in all weather conditionsWORKING CONDITIONSLift Operations Supervisors perform most of their duties outdoors and may work in all different kinds of weather conditions. Hours of Operation are weather dependant. Due to the nature of the business, this position requires flexibility in terms of your work schedule. A variety of work schedules may include a variety of start times, including shifts on weekends and statutory holidays. Shifts require standing for long periods of time, lifting, twisting,
