As a key member of the Gatik team, you will focus on implementing safety engineering principles for AI/ML systems. Your expertise will be crucial in defining safety strategies, developing runtime monitoring systems, and designing experiments that assess machine learning safety. This position highlights your impact on the safety of autonomous vehicles deployed on commercial routes.

Key Responsibilities:



• Lead implementation of ISO standards in AI/ML pipelines • Design deterministic AI safety monitors and guardrails • Create safety case arguments demonstrating acceptable risk • Assess training dataset completeness and balance • Analyze failure modes in deep learning systems

Requirements: • M.S. or Ph.D. in Robotics or similar disciplines • 6+ years in systems engineering with AI/ML focus • Familiarity with ISO 21448, UL 4600 standards • Understanding of sensor technology and failure aspects • Successful track record in deploying L4 autonomous vehicles
