Reporting to the X-ray Supervisor, the Casual - General Duty Technologist performs routine and prescribed technical procedures in accordance with training and experience. The General Duty Technologist provides direct patient care and technical, administrative and operational support while working as part of the multi-disciplinary team.
Experience, Education and Licensure
Relevant clinical and operational experience required;
Must be a graduate of an approved Medical Radiography program with certification and license obtained by the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT).
Qualifications and Skills
Experience with computers, preferably with Windows and Microsoft Office programs as well as Syngo RIS/Plaza;
Ability to interpret and follow oral and written instructions with attention to detail;
Demonstrated organizational and interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships in a multidisciplinary work setting;
Maintains confidentiality with all information entrusted to the position;
Ability to perform duties both autonomously and as a team member;
Maintaining a protected setting for staff and patients by adhering to department policies and standards put forth by Accreditation.
