The Dene High School is seeking a dedicated teacher to facilitate language education and collaborate with Elders and community members. This temporary role requires solid communication skills and a passion for working with First Nations communities. As a Dene Language Teacher, you will influence a supportive educational setting and encourage students' connection to their heritage. Key Responsibilities:
Promote land-based knowledge throughout the school community
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and Elders on language education
Develop a positive cultural setting aligned with Indigenous teachings
Establish partnerships for cultural activities with community agencies
Facilitate land-based learning opportunities with students Requirements:
Strong communication and organizational skills
Experience with First Nations schools and communities
Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle
Ability to work flexible schedule
